When you purchase digital signage with iG you are granted access to your iG Playback Content Cloud. Your iG Playback Content Cloud can be easily accessed from anywhere in the world to make on-the-fly changes to your signage systems. Simply log into your iG system, make your changes, then save, and seconds later your system is up-to-date.
We will produce a release when a new feature is to be added or whenever we find significant bugs to fix. At this point, this software has been quite stable. A probable release cycle of once per quarter.
There is only one hardware option and that has a 3-year repair/replace warranty on it. The software has a lifetime upgrade service with your monthly or annual purchase. The player software is self-updating. When a release is issued, the player detects this and will perform the update on itself the next time it reboots (usually 5am the next morning).
As long as your computer is connected to the internet we can remote in and assist with anything you need. You call us directly and speak to one of the developers of the software for all your support needs.
The software monitors itself and when an issue is detected, restarts itself. At this point, the player rarely has issues where it needs to be restarted. However, the player is just like any other computer and will need to be restarted occasionally (just like your phone). It can also function when the network is down as content is downloaded to the player and played from its local drive. Only content that is pulled directly from the internet would be compromised (ie – RSS feeds, weather updates). When the network is down, content changes will not occur. The Content Management Portal – This uptime is generally 99.9%. It is dependent on our hosting provider’s SLA too and to maintenance of disk space. Recovery in event of a disaster is dependent upon our restoration of data from backups. Data loss may occur up to the last backup date/time.
